This class was very helpful. Not only did it show me how to write professional business documents, it also helped with my typing. I thoroughly enjoyed this class.
Now, as far as blogging goes... Not a huge fan. I did not care much for the blogging. I felt it did not help me as much as the class itself has helped. I do not mind blogging, I just feel it is more of a public journal and that was never my kind of thing. Overall, it was not bad though.

Creating a Shortcut
Creating a shortcut file on your desktop can be very useful. Instead of trying to find documents or programs within your computer, you can simply create a shortcut.
First you will start by right-clicking anywhere on your desktop. Then bring your mouse down to where it says, "New." Another box of options will show, you will see the word, "Shortcut," and click it. It will bring up a box that looks like this:

You will then click browse. Next, find the document or program you are wanting to use and click Next. Then it will prompt you to type a name you will like to call your shortcut. Use whatever will help you remember what the shortcut contains. Then click "Finish."
And there you have a shortcut.

Working online with Micorsoft Office
Have you ever been away from work and thought, "I should be working on that project in Excel." Well if you save the document online through the Microsoft account, you can pull up saved documents from anywhere (with wifi, that is). Microsoft also has apps that can be used via your cell phone or tablet.
So now you can pick up from your last save and get to work!

Your Office Work Space
I feel like the key to successful work is being happy while at work. A person cannot be content sitting in a bland cubicle or office. So I suggest decorating your cubicle or office with bright colors, pretty pictures, beautiful plants, etc.
When you are working full-time, you spend majority of your time at work in an office. Literally forty hours of your life every week is spent sitting behind a desk looking at computer, so why not enjoy where you are at? By making your work space feel more homey and comfortable, you'll feel better while working.
For instance, at my desk, I have birthday cards taped up on a board, small succulents by my computer, and pictures of my friends and family in decorative frames on the corner of my desk. By having these objects on and around my desk, I feel more relaxed while doing my work. It makes it seem like I am working from my own home and that helps me get through the work day.

Using PrtScn (Screen Capture)
Print Screen is a very valuable tool. It can be used to show someone an image on your computer screen even if that person is not there. Just attach the saved image to an e-mail and send it to them. Also, the image can be saved and then you can print it out.
The process is very simple.
Press the button on your keyboard that says "PrtScn". On most keyboards, it should be located at the top-right corner along with two other keys, ScrLk and Pause. After you've pressed the PrtScn key, the image is copied to your Clipboard.
Next, you must pull up your Paint program and paste the
image into that program. From there you will be able to edit and save the image
. After saving the image, you can e-mail it or print it off.

Virtual Reality Gaming
Imagine putting on a headset, similar to the goggles you might use for skiing, and being immersed into a new, exciting virtual world. You may think this is something that is only seen in movies or television shows, but not anymore. Thanks to devices like the Oculus Rift, virtual reality is no longer just for science-fiction movies.
So how does the virtual reality headset work? Video is sent from a computer or console through a HDMI cable. The video feed is then sent to a LCD display inside the goggles. The display can be a single screen or a dual screen display for both eyes. The lenses help focus and reshape the picture into a stereoscopic 3D image. The next piece of technology that is vital for the VR gaming experience is called Head Tracking. Head tracking allows the headset to capture every movement of the person's head who is wearing it. Some headsets are capable of 360 degree view. Another useful type of technology that can help make VR gaming more realistic is Motion Tracking. As soon as you are standing in a different, virtual world, what is one of the first things you would do? Look at your hands or reach out. If you are looking down and your hands aren't there, that kind of freaks your brain out. But with the help of motion tracking and a pair of controllers for your hands, you would be able to virtually reach out.
VR headsets are not readily available to every consumer yet. So you can't walk into your local Walmart and pick up an Oculus Rift, some controllers, and a game and think you are ready to start a virtual adventure. Right now, majority of user's computers and consoles just cannot handle the virtual headset's technology. But soon that will change. Virtual Reality is here to stay and with how fast our technology is advancing there will be endless possibilities as to what it can do.
